Confirm that both methods are supported
An Xtream-style account login and an M3U playlist URL are different ways an app may receive access information. The source and player must support the chosen method. A login that works in one field does not mean the same details can be pasted into another.
Ask the source whether your account offers both methods and whether there are relevant feature differences. Do not manufacture a URL from an online template or send credentials to a converter. Our existing account guide explains the fields; this walkthrough covers an organised migration.
Record the working setup privately
Before changing anything, note the device, app version, source name, favourites and guide settings. Use the publisher’s backup feature if it exists and check whether the backup includes sensitive information. A screenshot of the login screen may expose more than a written note.
Keep the original configuration available while testing, but stop playback on it. Account connection limits still apply during migration. Installing a second source is not permission to run two streams at once.

Create a separate test source
Where the app supports it, add the newly supplied method under a neutral test name. Enter only the fields documented for that method. Preserve server addresses and tokens exactly; do not guess ports or substitute a similar domain.
Wait for the import to finish, then compare a small sample of expected entries. Note whether guide information, categories or favourites are included automatically or need separate configuration. Features can differ between apps even with the same account.
Compare the details that matter
Test starting and stopping media, returning to the list, refreshing and choosing subtitles where available. Check whether the same expected content is accessible under your actual account. An imported menu is not enough to establish equivalent playback.
If favourites did not transfer, use the player’s supported restore or organisation tools. Avoid editing account-bearing URLs to imitate old identifiers. Keep a short list of differences so the source or publisher can explain which are expected.
Retire the old configuration safely
Once the new setup passes your checks, remove the obsolete source through the documented app controls. Preserve only the private records needed for support. Remove credentials from old device backups if you no longer need them.
If the migration fails, return to the working method and send a sanitised comparison to support. Do not reset every device or publish the account details to find a workaround. A controlled switch should leave you with a clear route back.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert credentials using any online website?+
Avoid sending account credentials to a third-party converter. Request the supported access format from the source.
Will switching methods retain favourites?+
Not necessarily. Check the player’s backup and matching behaviour before removing the original source.
